Chris Fair Falls in Wrestling Consolation Bracket
Chris Fair fell in last night’s consolation bracket at the state championships to end his excellent season. Brecksville’s E.J. German won in a 3-2 decision as Fair’s late rally in the 3rd period fell just short. Olentangy’s Daniel Stephens took down Fair 4-1 to claim 7th place.
Fair was, however, able to claim a spot on the podium with an 8th place finish… an excellent stand to end an excellent season.
Legendary Massillon QB and Baseball Star Called up for Spring Training
Massillon alum and Rockies farm player Aiden Longwell was called up to Colorado’s MLB roster for Cactus League play. Longwell, a first baseman, batted .313 with the Single-A Fresno Grizzlies and added 34 RBIs last season.
