The Tigers were roughed up by a tough Tarblooder defense and O/D lines on Thursday.  Glenville got off to a quick start, scoring on the first play from scrimmage and successfully making a two-point conversion.  The Tarblooders would add on another score on their next possession, taking a 16-0 lead.  The Tigers’ following offensive drive ended in a pick-6, with the two-point conversion being stopped after a tackle for loss by Greg McHenry and Andrew Holland.  After a Tigers’ turnover on downs, Glenville had the ball deep in Massillon territory.  DeVaughn Williams and Andrew Holland sacked the Tarblooders quarterback, but it was not enough to prevent another touchdown.  The Tigers stopped the two-point conversion on a Logan Thornsberry and Aamir Jones sack.  At the end of the first, the Tigers were able to convert a fourth-and-sixteen on a pass from Rasmus Haines to George Rivera, but they were unable to score and trailed 28-0.  The Tigers defense got a stop to open the second quarter but turned the ball over quickly on offense.  Massillon’s defense stood strong once again, and the Tigers started to move the ball.  A Haines pass to Javon Merriweather set the Tigers up in Tarblooder territory, and Massillon broke the shutout up with a Haines-to-Rivera touchdown pass.  DeVaughn Williams rushed for a two-point conversion, putting the score at 28-8 in favor of Glenville at the half.
