
Massillon Alum Hired by BIG 10 School
Former Tiger defensive tackle Antonio James was hired by the University of Illinois as their new assistant defensive line coach. James is a member of the WHS class of 2006 was named All-Ohio in his senior season. He has held several coaching jobs prior to this prestigious position. James started out his coaching career with Urbana High School as a DL/OLB coach. He spent three seasons with Michigan as a graduate assistant, six at Morgan State (eventually becoming DC/co-STC), and three at Southern Illinois (DL/DC/Asst. HC). James has deep ties to Illinois– after committing in 2005, he played on the defensive line for the Fighting Illini for four seasons, lettering in all four and playing in the 2008 Rose Bowl.
Offers for Tigers
Linebacker Ja’Dyn Williams received another ACC offer, this time from Virginia. Corner Demari Clemons was offered by Fordham and was invited to the Rams’ Junior Day.
Tiger alum and Akron/Bowling Green transfer Marcus Moore has been offered by a few teams in the transfer portal– Purdue, Miami (OH), New Mexico, and Southern Miss have all reached out to the talented DT.
