Tigers’ Volleyball Takes Down Canton South

Massillon (3-3) took on Canton South (1-8) on Tuesday evening.  After holding off a Wildcat rally in the first set (25-23), the Tigers rolled to victory quite handily in the next two sets as both ended with scores of 25-14.  In the 3-0 victory, there were a few players that stood out on the stat sheet.  #55 Ava Geier led the Tigers with 3 aces and 9 digs.  She and #13 Kami Broel both had 14 receptions.  #16 Sophia Keefer led the team with 11 kills, and #4 Janiya Carter led with 19 assists.

Coach’s Comment

Coach Musselman: “After a brutal beatdown last night, we needed to work on the mental game; it had really gotten to us.  We got back into the right state on the mental side of the game and took home a win.”

The Tigers will face Bowsher in a quad match at WHS on Saturday the 14th.  The match will start at 10 AM.
