
Tigers Baseball Pitches No-Hitter in Victory Over Green

Massillon took down Green 7-0 on Saturday. The Tigers’ pitching has been stellar to begin this season, and it continued on Saturday. Tiffin commit Brock Polilli tossed 6 no-hit innings, striking out 13 and walking only 2 batters. His dominant start was helped one more inning by Luke McGeorge, who shut down the Bulldogs for a combined no-hitter.
Flag Football Downs McKinley and Akron Prep to Remain Unbeaten
The Tigers kept rolling today as they took two more wins home. They traveled to Akron Ellet to take on Akron Early College and Akron Hoban, but Hoban was a no-show. The Tigers downed Akron Early 25-12 and added a game with McKinley. The Tigers piled on the points and took down Canton once again with a 42-20 victory. The Tigers move to 5-0; they have games with Nordonia, Edgewood, and Glenville next week followed by an off-week as they prep for the playoffs.
Marcus Moore Moves Up the Ladder to P4 School
Tiger alum Marcus Moore transferred from Akron to Bowling Green earlier this year. He decided to enter the portal once again recently– he earned several offers from P4 schools in his second portal trip. Marcus ultimately settled on Big 10 school Purdue for his next step.
Columbia Rallies Late to Beat Lady Tigers’ Softball, Independence Outslugs Tigers
Massillon led 9-6 going into the 6th inning in the first game of yesterday’s double header but could not hold on as the Raiders scored 4 to win 10-9. The Tigers lost the second game 13-10. Jaryn Wolff went 7-9 in the double header with 3 stolen bases; she also reached on an error. Rylee Adams hit 2 home runs, one in each game.
Tiger Alumni Perform in College Spring Games
A few Tigers played in spring games this weekend. Mike Wright played for Youngstown State and Adonis Marshall played for Mercyhurst. Willtrell Hartson scored a touchdown for Ashland.
