Local Schools Make Coaching Moves
The Tigers’ archrival, the Canton McKinley Bulldogs, officially hired Akron Hoban Defensive Coordinator Renard “Renzy” Parnell II as their new head coach, replacing Antonio Hall (31-20 in four seasons). Parnell has been on Hoban’s staff since 2006 and served as DC for the past ten seasons.
Minerva hired former Perry Panthers Head Coach Zach Slates as their new head coach. Slates was 16-28 in three seasons with the Panthers.
#25 Lady Tigers Knock Off 14-0 Canfield
The Lady Tigers (13-1) continued their dominant season with a win versus undefeated Canfield (14-0; Maxpreps #39 in the state). The ladies are ranked #25 in the state by Maxpreps. In the D-II Northeast District standings, they are ranked 11th due to early-season forfeits but are quickly on the rise. Stats will be posted in the next edition of TigerTown Daily.
Congratulations to all of our Tiger athletes.
