Player Spotlight— Week 7 vs. Football North

The Tigers annihilated Football North (Ontario) 45-6 on Friday. Massillon played great ball all around… a couple of players that stood out among the many excellent performances are the spotlight players this week.

Quarterback Jalen Slaughter had an excellent day against Football North. He completed 8 of 12 passes, throwing for 205 yards and three touchdowns (One to Jacques Carter and two to Deontay Malone). For this excellent performance, Jalen Slaughter is the offensive spotlight player of the week.

Ja’Dyn Williams continued his breakout season on Friday night, notching a team-leading 9 tackles, including 4 tackles-for-loss and two sacks. He also forced a fumble and had at least 4 quarterback hurries that resulted in incomplete passes. He made multiple hard-hitting tackles throughout the game, smashing through North’s huge line to take down ball carriers. After this performance Williams earned his first college offers from Ohio University and Toledo. For his performance on Friday, Ja’Dyn Williams is the defensive spotlight player of the week.
