Tigers Seeded 3rd in Region on Selection Day

Ohio high school basketball coaches met Sunday for the annual OHSAA tournament seeding. The Tigers were given the 3-seed in the DII Northeast Region and were placed in DII NE District 2. They will take on 26 seeded John Adams (3-11) in the first round of the district tournament. This game will take place at Washington High School on February 25 and will tip off at 7PM.

Should the Tigers take this first round game, they will travel to Wooster to play the winner of the 17 seed Shaker Heights versus 22 seed Parma Normandy game. With a win in this second round (district championship), the Tigers will advance to take on the winner of DII NE District 4, where Brunswick is the favorite; this game would take place at the University of Akron. The winner of this game will play the winner of NE District 1 or 3– Warren is the top seed on this side of the bracket. This game, the regional final, would also be played in Akron.
The following round (state semifinals) will be played at a location to be announced— the state finals will be in Dayton.

Tiger Lineman Gets First Offer

Massillon defensive tackle Marcus Garner earned his first offer today from Kent State. The Flashes been giving the Tigers a flurry of offers over the past few weeks, with multiple members of the defense earning offers from Kent.
