Girls Flag Football Advances to Cleveland Browns Championship

The Tigers faced two win-or-go-home games today— they stood up to the challenge and downed both Westerville Central and Shaw. The first round versus Westerville Central was a tough battle. The Tigers jumped on top quickly with a 12-0 lead. The Warhawks responded with a rally to tie the game at 12 at the half. The Tigers defense roared and shut out their opponents while the offense added two scores. At the final whistle, the score stood 24-12 in favor of Massillon. The Tigers advanced to the second game of the bracket versus Shaw, who had taken out McKinley 32-20 in the previous game. By the half the Tigers were up 19-12. They would add a couple of scores in the second half while holding Shaw to 12. With a final score of 33-24, the Tigers advanced to the next round— the Northern Ohio Cleveland Browns Championship. This game will involve 16 teams— it will be played at Huntington Bank Stadium in Cleveland on May 12th.
